- The Center for
Work and Learning at Northeastern University conducts research
on methods of learning that integrate experience in the world with experience
in the classroom. We call this approach Practice-Oriented Education
(POE). We seek to find common ground among the many disciplines (e.g.,
cooperative education, service learning, action learning) that support
this educational practice.
- National
Society for Experiential Education (NSEE) is a nonprofit

Founded in 1971, NSEE also serves as a national resource center for
the development and improvement of experiential education programs nationwide.
