Expert and Novice Inductive Reasoning in Fast and Slow Conditions
This study shows that despite the fact that music experts and novices
categorize different composers the same way, experts differ significantly
from novices when forced to reason about these categories in inductive
reasoning tasks.

Revisiting Jewish Musicality in America: A Follow-up Study
This research is based on a study completed by Keith Sward almost 70
years ago. In his study, Sward discovered that there was a staggeringly
high number of Jewish performers in U.S. top orchestras. Our study seeks
to examine today's statistics and proposes some possible social reasons
for the dramatic decreases.

Learning to Notice and Discuss Ethical Concerns on the Co-op Job
Integration of practice and study provides a natural way for students
to identify, investigate, and respond to ethical concerns and issues
that are of professional interest. We describe a one-credit course that
allows students to use their current co-op placements to reflect upon
and investigate ethical concerns within their workplace.

Music Matters
Reborn from the former Northeastern and WGBH sponsored radio program
"A Note to You," Music Matters is a website dedicated to educating
listening audiences on a variety of music-related topics. Presented
in streaming Real Audio format, programs of roughly 7-10 minutes contain
musical examples and explanatory narration in categories such as Latin
Pop and Italian Opera. Each audio program is accompanied by informative
text and images, as well as links to sites where an interested participant
can delve further into the subject matter.

Analogical Reasoning and Story-telling in Batswana Children
This study hypothesized that despite contrary research about children's
analogical reasoning skills, children who grow up in a story-telling
culture are better at analogical reasoning tasks than those who are
not from a similar culture. The study looked at Batswana rural and urban
children to prove the hypothesis.
